Transcriber’s notes: when Margaret Coke married Robert Barker, the marriage licence said that she was of the family of Roger Townsend of London. The testator would appear to be that man, as Roger mentions his nephew Edward Coke in his will, and Margaret was the sister of Sir Edward Coke.
