- Mussetts in and from...
On 11 Nov 1699, Henry, son of Henry Mussett and Mary Downs, was baptised in Bures St Mary in Suffolk. He was one of his father’s twelve children, from his second marriage.
On 26 Dec 1724, Henry married Martha Parmenter in Bures St Mary, and the couple would have eight children between 1725 and 1738. Sadly, their first three children all died young:
- Henry, baptised 15 Oct 1725, buried 19 Oct 1725
- Henry, baptised 25 Sep 1726, buried 9 Oct 1726
- Martha, baptised 5 Sep 1727, buried 17 June 1727
- Anne, baptised 3 May 1729
- Samuel, baptised 16 May 1731
- Martha, baptised 16 May 1733
- John, baptised 27 Aug 1736
- Mary, baptised 8 March 1738
Henry died in 1739 – he was buried in Bures on 26 April that year. He was only about 39 or 40. His widow, Martha, didn’t remarry – she was buried in Bures on 21 Oct 1764 as “Martha Mussett, widow.”
