- East Donyland
I have transcribed East Donyland (Rowhedge) parish registers held at ERO for St. Lawrence, CoE church. Full transcriptions are available below. They can also be searched for at FreeREG (baptisms 1731-1925, burials 1731-1910, marriages 1731-1957).
Notes:
- The early register for East Donyland is not held at ERO (it may have been lost or accidentally destroyed).
- Baptisms: “P” is used to denote a privately baptism. “A” means the child was “admitted into the Congregation” and “D” means the child died before it could be admitted. So you might see “P.A.” or “P.D.” beside a baptism entry.
- Some East Donyland families appear in the registers for Wivenhoe Independent/Congregational chapel.
- Found in the Lawshall, Suffolk, register: marriage on 17th October 1602 between Roberte Clarke & Johan Smith of East Doniland, Essex.
