These are the last of my Capel St Mary transcriptions, giving you in total:

- Nearly 700 marriages – including some banns – from 1538-1837.

*I include banns where the marriage hasn’t taken place in the parish. It’ll help you to find out where it took place, or there might not be a corresponding wedding, which means it was called off after the banns were read! East Bergholt’s banns register provides reasons for weddings not happening, and it makes for an eye-opening read.
