Transcriber’s notes: Elizabeth Nunn appears at the Bell Tavern on Lower Thames Street in the 1820 Robson’s London Directory. She was the widow of Thomas Willett Nunn (who was born in Cambridge in 1770, the son of James and Ann Nunn, and died in 1817 – he was buried at St Botolph’s Billingsgate), and they had married at St Dunstan’s in the East in 1799. She was born Elizabeth Skipper, daughter of John Skipper. They had at least seven children.

Their daughter Elizabeth had married James Adam at St Magnus the Martyr in 1826. Their second eldest daughter, Ann, had married Hugh Murphy at the same church in 1838 (marriages for the church at that period don’t appear to have survived). An announcement in the Sun on 19 Sep 1838 says that Hugh was the nephew of “Mr T Bryer” of King William Street, London Bridge, who is presumably Thomas Bryer, one of the executors.
